Acid Alkaline Chart and foods

Try to  follow a diet of 30 % acid and 70 % alkali for optimal health
In nutrition, acidic foods are those that have an acidic effect on the human body. Maintaining a balance between acidic foods and alkaline foods is essential, as to much acid can cause acidosis disease in the body and too much alkaline substances may lead to alkalosis. Acidosis causes fatigue, weakness, drowsiness, confusion as well as headaches and shortness of breaths, while alkalosis shows signs of nausea, numbness, hand tremors, muscle twitching and muscle spasms.
Inflammation is a natural protection response by the body. It’s a localized, physical condition in which a section of the human body becomes swollen, painful, hot and reddened due to an infection or injury. In addition to infections or injuries, diet is also a common cause of inflammation in the body. Fats and oils are a massive problem in maintaining a balance between omega-6 (inflammatory) and omega-3 (anti-inflammatory) fatty acids. It’s been proven that, sustaining a healthy balance of 70% or more alkaline foods with 30% or less of acidic foods, has a substantial positive effect on inflammation; however, many humans consume 20-30 times more acidic foods with respect to alkaline foods. I would say start with increasing the alkaline foods to a level that your still enjoying your food but noticing the benefits of doing so , the more out of balance you are the more you require to change but don't rush as a lot of alkaline food going   into an acidic body will get a strong unconfutable reaction
These foods are highly acidic and can result in inflammation:
Alcohol
Sugar
Coffee, tea and hot chocolate
Wheat and grains
Beef, pork and chicken
While these foods that are considered alkaline, reduce inflammation:
Fruits: Apricots, apples, bananas and avocados eaten best away from, or replacing other foods
Vegetables: Asparagus, broccoli and carrots
Gluten free grains: Brown rice and quinoa
Almonds
Leafy greens such as lettuce, spinach and kale
Maintaining a balance between these foods is possible, as different foods correspond to different levels of pH on the alkaline/acidic food chart. The table below illustrates what foods resemble the different levels of pH, with the highly alkaline foods being at the top of the chart and the acidic foods located at the bottom. Ideally the average person wants to maintain a diet consisting of 1 acidic food for every 3or 4 alkaline foods consumed. A healthy alkaline-acidic food ratio is crucial in reducing the effects of inflammation and can also improve one’s health by reducing blood sugar levels and maintaining your weight as well as your cholesterol levels.
